With the rapid development of Internet,Intrusion Detection plays an increasingly important role in protecting computer Security.First,this paper summarizes the history of intrusion detection technology,its common model and framework.Second,it focuses on Intrusion Detection System and its different categories,evaluates all kinds of intrusion detection methods and technologies.Finally,the shortcomings of current intrusion detection systems are discussed,and a number of areas of future research in this field are pointed out。
