Discussion on professional cultivation system in fire protection engineering based on the idea of large-scale engineering

The idea of large-scale engineering is the direction of higher engineering education,which requires that engineering education should provide comprehensive knowledge background,emphasize the practical aspects and cultivation the creativity of students.The education objective of fire protection engineering rests with cultivating engineers capable of solving fire safety problem.On the basis of review on regular education both domestic and abroad in fire protection engineering and combination with the interdisciplinary characteristics,professional cultivation objective integrating the idea of large-scale engineering in fire protection engineering was presented.Using abroad education in fire protection engineering for reference and integrating the practical circumstances of fire services,the curriculum system in fire protection engineering was established,which was compose of the communal education modules,the fundamental engineering sciences modules,the core courses modules,the applied courses modules and practical education modules.The educational reforms on teaching content,teaching method and teaching body were discussed,in order to fulfill the requests of the idea of large-scale engineering for the engineering education.
