Abstract

In order to know the nitrate content of different vegetables in Guiyang City,we particularly measured the nitrogen and nitrate content of 15 vegetables samples and 13 corresponding gardens soil samples, which were collected from the organic vegetable base of Yangniu village in Guiyang City in May 2006.The following results were obtained :Nitrate levels of different types of vegetables vary considerably. In all testing samples, leafy vegetables are of high levels of nitrates in the distance, with the highest concentration of green-nitrate vegetables, reached 6960.8 mg/kg;Soil samples, nitrogen average is about 0.2107%,it belongs a high fertility soils; The average concentration of soil samples No3——N is 2309.52 mg/kg,it is higher compared with the garden soil; For most vegetables Soil nitrate content have most impact on the nitrate content of vegetables;the measurement of 15 samples of vegetables,above33.3% is of serious pollution.
