Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of cake-separated moxibustion on the expression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ(PPARγ)in aortic endothelial cells of atherosclerosis(AS) rabbits and explore the action mechanism of cake-separated moxibustion delaying AS formation. Methods: Took 75 New Zealand white rabbits were divided into 5 groups:Blank group(control group),model group(AS model group),direct moxibustion group(AS model plus direct moxibustion),cake-separated moxibustion group(AS model plus cake-separated moxibustion)and western medicine group(AS model plus atorvastatin),15 rabbits per group.Establish a rabbit model of atherosclerosis by using immunologic injury combined with hypercholesterol diet.PPAR-γmRNA in aortic endothelial cells were measured by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results:The expression of PPAR-γmRNA in model group was significantly lower than that in Blank group, direct moxibustion group,cake-separated moxibustion group as well as western medicine group(P0.01,P0.05)and there was significant difference between direct moxibustion group and western medicine group(P0.05).Conclusion:Atorvastatin,direct moxibustion and cake-separated moxibustion could all activate the expression of PPARγ in aortic endothelial cells of atherosclerotic(AS) rabbits to delay the formation of atherosclerotic plaque.Cake-separated moxibustion had similar activation effect to atorvastatin which played a more important role to direct moxibustion.
