Abstract
Based on RS and GIS technology, the changes of the landscape pattern in Sailimu Lake Watershed from 1986 to 2010 were analyzed comprehensively by using the landscape indices. The results show that the areas of open woodland, shrub land and coverage grassland has increased, the areas of woodland and high coverage grassland has decreased from 1986 to 2010.Overall,the total number of landscape patches, landscape fragmentation index, landscape shape index and landscape diversity index has increased, landscape evenness index has decreased. It can be seen that the regional landscape patches gradually become complex as a result of natural or man-made interference;landscape was damaged, the land use is developing toward the direction of diversification and non-uniform.Patch distribution changed very uneven.
