Historical Value of Shizhuan in Wen Xin Diao Long

Abstract

Scholars are divided on Shizhuan,an article in Wen Xin Diao Long by Liu Xie.In our opinion,it is unfair to depreciate it only from literary point of view,and fair to positively evaluate it historically because it aims at explore the theory of how to edit a history book but not just summarize the characteristic of ancient prose and biography literarily.
