Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of adapted prospective ECG-gate on reducing radiation dose of dual-source CT coronary angiography. Methods In 150 patients with stable heart rate70 beats per minute,80 underwent adapted prospective ECG-gate dual-source CT coronary angiography(group P) and 70 received retrospective ECG-gate dual-source CT coronary angiography(group R),respectively. The image quality and radiation dose were compared between two groups. Results The radiation doses of group P and group R were(3.35±0.89)mSv and(10.21±3.61)mSv respectively, which showed a significant difference between two groups(t=16.442,P=0.000).There was no significant difference in image quality between two groups(Z=-1.029,P=0.304).Conclusion For patients with stable heart rate70 beats per minute, the radiation dose can be reduced obviously in CT coronary angiography using adapted prospective ECG-gate technique and preserve good image quality.
