Abstract

The method of HE staining was used to investigate the differences of the main reproductive organs-ovary and the uterus part of the oviduct between the high and low yield silky fowl. The results are as follows: in high yield group, the number of growing follicles was more, while that of ex-follicle gland cells was less in the ovary. The folds was tall, which looked like leaf-shaped,tubular glands of lamina propria were developed, blood vessel and nerve were abundant in the uterus part of the oviduct;in the low yield group, the number of primary follicle and ex-follicle gland cells was more, while that of secondary follicle was less in the ovary. The folds were shorter and fewer blood vessels in the uterus part of the oviduct. Conclusion: there are remarkable differences in the main organs histological structural between high and low yield silky fowl,it can prove that the main reproductive organs in high yield group are developed well and the function of the main reproductive organs was better.
