Effects on the Characteristics of Cut Stems of Flue-cured Tobacco in the Process of the Expansion Drying

All characteristics were analyzed in according to the standard methods. Effects on the Characteristics of Cut Stems in Flue-cured Tobacco through the process of the Expansion drying was studied by modern analytic instruments. The Rresult showed that filling value was increased with invious ,pH was hold; the content of total nitrogen was affected obviously,but the total sugar,reducing sugar,total alkaloid and chlorine were not; in the condition of constant weight of cigarette,the indicators of in smoke of cut stems were all reducing,especially the Tar,nicotine and the total particle matter were reduced obviously,more than 15% ,and the reduction of carbon monoxide was less than 10%.
