Abstract

This paper briefly introduces the sources and uses of the naphthenic acid, through the explanation of corrosion characters of the naphthenic acid, pointed out the importance of removing the naphthenic acid from crude oil or fractions, and sums up the separation and purification processes of the naphthenic acid in petroleum.
