Abstract
Objective To study the clinical efficacy of percutaneous intradiscal ozone injection for the failed back surgery syndrome(FBSS).Methods 47 patients suffered from FBSS were injected with 10 ml ozone(40 μg/ml)into the sick intevertebral disc.Results 47 cases were followed up for 12 months.The general clinical effective rate was 59.6%,the average score of VAS(3.4±0.77)decreased significantly(P0.05).5 cases feeled headache 1 day after ozone injection,and relieved in 24 h after dehydration and bedrest.Conclusion Percutaneous intervertebral ozone injection is effective to patients with FBSS,but should take measures to decrease complication such as headache.
