Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment on Constipation in Aged Patients Undergoing Lumbar Surgery

Pathogenesis of constipation in aged patients after lumbar surgery was demonstrated from the following aspects: liver depression and Qi stagnation,internal block of blood stasis,kidney Yin deficiency and dual deficiency of Qi and blood,therefore,constipation should be treated with the method of smoothing Qi and moving stagnation,activating blood and resolving stasis,nourishing Yin and moistening intestine,invigorating Qi and nourishing blood,etc according to syndrome differentiation and treatment.
