Abstract

Oxidized starch adhesive and white latex are two environment friendly adhesives widely used at present in corrugated board.However,oxidized starch adhesive exists some disadvantages like long reaction time,unstable quality and complicated reactive process.In contrast,white latex has no good moisture resistance and heat resistance and its monomer is high-cost.To make the properties of oxidized starch adhesive better the experiment of oxidized starch adhesive added somt environment friendly aids was conducted.The optimized formulation was obtained by examining water resistance,adhesion strength and durability.In the meantime,a comparison between obtained oxidized starch adhesive and white latex was also carried out.The results indicated that oxidized starch adhesive added PVA has better properties and higher stability than those added CMC or sodium alginate.Moreover,its peeling strength obtained is comparable to white latex and the adhesive strength is not influenced by properties of honding surfaces.
