Abstract
Objective: To explore the levels of serum Th1 /Th2 cytokines and cellular immunity in patients with cervical cancer and the interrelationship. Methods: Sixty- seven patients with cervical cancer were selected as case group, clinical stages were confirmed, thirty healthy women after physical examination during the same period were selected as control group. ELISA was used to detect the levels of IL- 2 and IL- 4,IL- 2 / IL- 4 ratio was calculated; flow cytometry was used to detect the levels of CD4+and CD8+T lymphocytes subsets,CD4+/ CD8+ratio was calculated. Results: The levels of serum IL- 2,IL- 4 and CD8+in case group were higher than those in control group, while the levels of CD4+,CD4+/ CD8+,and IL- 2 /IL- 4 in case group were lower than those in control group, there were statistically significant differences( P 0. 05); serum IL- 2,IL- 4,and CD8+levels increased gradually with the aggravation of clinical stages of cervical cancer, while CD4+,CD4+/ CD8+,and IL- 2 /IL- 4 levels decreased gradually with the aggravation of clinical stages of cervical cancer, there were statistically significant differences( P 0. 05); in case group, serum IL- 2 / IL- 4 was positively correlated with CD4+/CD8+( r = 0. 573,P 0. 05). Conclusion: Cytokines and T lymphocyte subsets are imbalanced in patients with cervical cancer, immune function in these patients is inhibited. Cytokines and T lymphocyte subsets interact with each other and participate in the occurrence and development of cervical cancer.
