Abstract
According to the calculation and the analysis of dilution of precision (DOP) of GEO, IGSO/GEO and MEO/GEO constellation, a composite satellite constellation solution, to solve the incapable positioning in vertical direction and low positioning precision in level surface without assistant altimeter with pure GEO constellation, is investigated. In the meantime, combined with our nation’s navigation system, a viewpoint on using IGSO/GEO composite satellite constellation as a transition from regional positioning constellation to global positioning constellation is put forward.
