Abstract
By introducing the improved G′/G expansion method,a series of new exact traveling solutions are obtained for a class of nonlinear wave equations with the aid of computer algebraic system of Mathematica.These solutions include solitary wave solutions,hyperbolic function solutions and trigonometric function solutions.
