Abstract

Objective This study was designed to evaluate the spermatogenic cells apoptosis and the expression of Bcl-2,Bax gene in the spermatogenic cells of passive smoking rats, and to explore the correlation between spermatogenic cells apoptosis and the expression of Bcl-2,Bax.Methods Forty male rats were divided randomly into four groups, the animals were exposed by passive-smoking with 1、2、4、0 cigarettes,30min twice a day for 4 weeks.Cell apoptosis was detected by TUNEL,and the expression of Bcl-2,Bax protein was detected by IH.Results The expression of Bcl-2 was similar.Bax in the smoking group are highly expressed than in the comparison group, there were significant correlations between Bcl-2,Bax gene expression and spermatogenic cells apoptosis in rats. Conclusion Passive-smoking could induce rats spermatogenic cells apoptosis,Bcl-2 down-regulation and Bax up-regulation in tesis may be one of the mechanism of spermatogenic cells apoptosis.
