Clinical value of Hysteroscopy in the diagnosis of postmenopausal uterine bleeding

Abstract

Objective To study the diagnostic value of Hysteroscopy in postmenopausal uterine bleeding. Methods Sixty-three patients with postmenopausal uterine bleeding in our hospital from January 2009 to February 2011 were enrolled in this study. All the patients were examined with transvaginal ultrasound and Hysteroscopy. The examination results were compared with pathological results. Results The diagnosis rates of hysteroscopy under various conditions were significantly higher than those of vaginal ultrasound, P0.05. Conclusion The value of hysteroscopy in the diagnosis of postmenopausal uterine bleeding is higher than that of transvaginal ultrasound, which can serve as the supplementary diagnosis method for postmenopausal uterine bleeding.
