Abstract

Based on the assumption that the received signal sequence over inter-symbol-interference channel is jointly Gaussian, a novel equalizer, Jointly Gassian equalizer, represented by the augmented real number matrices is developed in this paper. We also present a low-complex algorithm of this equalizer and its application on Turbo equalization. The Turbo equalization system based on Jointly Gaussian equalizer and a new feedback strategy has large gain in performance and great reduction in complexity compared with the conventional Turbo equalization system based on minimum mean squared error equalizer.
