Abstract

Total RNA was prepared from liver of Tibetan sheep, and RT-PCR method was employed to obtain a 589 bp-lenghth cDNA of Tibetan sheep IGF-I gene, encoding peptide with 70 amino acids. The homology of nucleotide sequence of IGF-I between Tibetan sheep and other sheep breeding was 99.78%,with only one nucleotide difference.
