Abstract

Photonic crystals proposed in the late 80' s last century are a new kind of materials with photonic bandgap, their unique features make them rise to a number of wide application prospect This paper introduces the conception of photonic crystals and reviews some applications and development of photonic bandgap structure in microwave field.
