Abstract

The Reverse Engineering and the Rapid Prototyping are important constituent parts of CAD/CAM technology.The article introduces the concept,characteristic and key techniques of Reverse Engineering and the Rapid Prototyping briefly.The idea on integration and system is applied,and the relation of Reverse Engineering and Rapid Prototyping is illustrated.Processing the cloud data and reconstructing the curved face of mobile phones via the reverse engineering software Imageware,the paper illustrates on the application of the Reverse Engineering and the Rapid Prototyping on new products development.
