Abstract
A comprehensive evaluation of the soil fertility in the tea garden of Hunan Tea Research Institute in Changsha county was carried out by fuzzy math, principal component analysis and clustering analysis methods. The results showed that soil acidification was serious in this tea garden, the content of alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen in the soil was slightly higher, and the content of available potassium was relatively lower. The nutrient contents in the soil varied widely and the coefficient of variation of various nutrients was 24.2%~90.9%.Through clustering analysis of integrated fertility index, the soil fertility of the tea garden was classified to 4 levels, namely high, middle, slightly low and low,and the area of tea garden with high and middle soil fertility accounted for 61.6%.So the soil fertility quality of this tea garden belonged to middle level in general.
