Abstract

When topping at the button stage and 19 or 20 leaves remained per plant, the yield and output value of flue cured tobacco variety K326 were the highest, and its average price and high quality ratio were the second highest, but nicotine content especially in the upper leaves was significantly higher. When topping at the early blooming stage and 19 or 20 leaves remained per plant, its yield and output value ranked the second highest, its average price and high quality ratio were the third, and nicotine content was moderate in middle and lower leaves, but significantly higher in upper leaves. When topping at early blooming stage and 21 or 22 leaves remained per plant, its yield and output value ranked the third, but its average price, high quality ratio and high middle quality ratio were the highest, and nicotine content was moderate in all parts, which satisfied the demand of prescription in Cigarette industry.
