Abstract
The dissertation analyses the form types, evolvement and tendency of urban fringe settlements in the process of urbanization, reveals the interrelationship between institutional change and urban fringe settlement form, then advance an institutional analysis frame on urban fringe settlement form problems. Lastly, many ideals are suggested.
