Abstract

Since Frankfurt School brought forward the concept of industryin 1944, the cultural industry has become the strategic industries in China, Britain, the United States, Japan, Korea and so on. However, governments and academia have not yet formed a unified understanding of the concept of cultural industries. There are many definitions of cultural industries. It has become an urgent problem to be resolved in study of the cultural industry. This article holds that the culture industry is defined as whole cultural products and cultural services in order to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of people through the creative use of cultural resources, forming the cultural values, and producing a large numbers of cultural products and cultural services by coping.
