The Historic Blocks Protection and Reuse in Tangxi Town,Hangzhou City

The historic blocks,which is rich in historical information,consists of the major component of the urban culture,supports the important part of the residents' spiritual life,and is the important origin of characterizing the locality.This paper proposes the planning theory of protection and renewal of historic blocks of Tangxi town,and development of tourism and financing to promote the protection and development of Tangxi town,on the basis of the necessities of the renewal of the historic blocks and the local community investigation on folk housing and architectures in Tangxi town.
