Abstract

A combined sample digestion method was used in determination of gold in certification of standard reference gold material. The sample was digested with aqua regia and gold in the digestive sample was determined by iodometry after preconcentration with activated carbon adsorption. The remander was digested with HF-aqua regia and gold in the remnants was determined by flame-AAS after preconcentration with activated carbon adsorption. Total gold in the sample was sum of those from digestive part and the remnants of the sample. The results of gold in the standard reference gold materials were in agreement with certified values.
