Myth Research Under Wen Yiduo's Culture Interpretation Criticism

The myth of the original ancestors is a microcosm of life. It reflects the primitive life of our ancestors by mixing their imaginative,symbolic,affective,and other miscellaneous characteristics of the original thinking. Wen Yiduo wanted to research from the start with the myth,to explore the source of this nation,this culture. Through combining the academic research with the reality of the need,he wanted to find thecollective forceof the Chinese nation through the study of myth. Wen Yiduo studied the myth and understood the true implication of the culture through the heavy fog of history. He restored the ancient mythology of the calendar,the ancient heroes of the history,and the ancient features of the geology. He dug out the myth motif such as Fuxi and Nuwa,Ancestor and God. He contributed greatly to the research of Chinese mythology.
