A clinical analysis of marsupialization in the treatment of large mandibular cysts

Abstract
Objective To access the effect of marsupialization in the treatment of large mandibular cysts.Methods Thirteen cases with large mandibular cysts were selected and followed up for six months to 3 years after marsupialization was performed.Results Three months after the operation,the volume of the cysts began to decrease,and at the 18th month,the facial outlines of 13 cases almostly recovered,the cysts wore off through X-ray.Conclusion Marsupialization is a kind of effective method to the treatment of large mandibular cysts.
