Abstract

Physical models of the financial market offer a second type of analysis for the new interdisciplinary field of econophysics. An introduction to the basic concepts is given, with particular emphasis on the dynamic modeling and analysis based on agents in the financial market. The role and significance of econophysics in financial engineering in the 21st century is discussed.
