Abstract
Extracellular signal-regu1ated protein kinase(p44/p42MAPK,ERK1/2) is an important signaling transduction molecule.ERK1/2 signaling pathway is one of mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK) signal pathways.Aberrant ERK1/2 signal pathway is assciated with occurrence and progression of many tumors. In malignant tumors, overaction of ERK due to various causes can promote cell proliferation and invasion, induce cell apoptosis, and regulate cell differentiation. This article reviews the studies on the regulatory role of ERK1/2 in biological behaviors of tumor cells.
