Abstract
Based on the characteristics of actual rock burst, the mathematical model of the shock wave following coal and gas out-burst is proposed. And based on aerodynamics theory, the mathematical model of the propagation and dynamics of the shock wave is set up. The relations between the parameters such as shock wave over-pressure, shock wave velocity and propagation distance, and the coal seam gas pressure are investigated. It is concluded that the relationship between the shock wave over-pressure and the gas pressure of the coal seam is non-linear, while there is a linear relation between the shock wave over-pressure and out-burst intensity. 7 refs., 2 figs.
