A Few Words about On GUAN Zhong by SU Shi

In the sea of SU Shi's essays,theses are large in amount,among which the prose about historical figures is quite striking.In his life,SU Shi had written four articles about GUAN Zhong.The commenting focuses and descriptive techniques in these articles are quite different.Through the contrast between these articles,we can find some evolutionary features of his aesthetic values in SU's early and late essays.These features were outcomes of his rich life experience and the evolution of his literary views,which show his value inclination from composition for certain purposes to meaning privileged,from learning and imitating predecessors to establishment of SU's style.
