Abstract
The population of dialysis patients with end stage renal disease(ESRD) has been increasing worldwide.However,the timing of dialysis initiation remains controversial.The article analyzed retrospectively suggestions on the timing of dialysis in guidebooks and current situations in each country,and elucidated the impact of early initiation of dialysis on the mor-tality in patients with ESRD.
