Imaging Diagnosis of Early Femoral Head Avascular Necrosis

Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the value of Xray plain,CT and MRI in early avascular necrosis of femoral head.Methods:Plain film,CT and MRI examination of 40 femoral heads of 28 cases were performed.Diagnostic results of three modalities were compared.Results:The accuracy rates of X-ray film,CT and MRI for diagnosis of ANFH were 45%,85% and 95% respectively.Conclusion: In order to diagnose of early avascular necrosis of femoral head,MRI was superior to CT in early diagnosis avascular necrosis of femoral head.X-ray plain had some limilations for showing early lesion of the disease.
