On the Chinese-Character-Form-Based Rhetoric Theory of An Introduction to Rhetoric

The Chinese-character-form-based rhetoric of Chen Wangtao's An Introduction to Rhetoric consists of three aspects: it takes Chinese-character's form(including the forms,punctuations and icons of Chinese characters,etc.) as its materials for rhetoric purposes,puts form-based rhetoric means into the category of active rhetoric means,thinking that form-based rhetoric has its unique function.On the whole,the Chinese-character-form-based rhetoric theory is an important component of the rhetoric ideas presented in An Introduction to Rhetoric and is of great significance to the construction of the Chinese rhetoric theories with Chinese characteristics.
