Abstract
The disk electrodes manufactured by pressing nickel powders and nickel hydroxides together were applied in the experiments of cyclic voltammetry (CV) compared with powder microelectrode. It was found that the reversibility extent of the electrochemical process increases when the mass of the electrodes decreases. There are approximately equal current densities for different kinds of electrodes with equal potential scanning rate despite their different reversibility extent. The current density and the pseudo reversibility with the disk electrode made up of 0.1g Ni + 0.03g Ni(OH)_2 was rather evident, of which CV data shows better reappearance and comparability than that of micro electrode because its mass can be more precisely controlled.
