Stadies on Residues of Organochloride Pesticides in the Soils of DongTing Lake Basin

Abstract

45 samples) were collected from the DongTing Lake basin in may 2004.The samples were have been analyzed for hexachlorobenzene(HCB),DDTs(DDT,DDE and DDD),Chlordane,Aldrin,Dieldrin,Endrin,Heptachlor and Mirex by GC/MS.The results were as follows: the relevance ratio of HCB and DDTs were 100%,the relevance ratio of Chlordane and Mirex were lower,Aldrin,Dieldrin,Endrin,Heptachlor wereless than the quantification limit.It was shown that HCB and DDTs were used widely in the soils in Dongting lake area.The totle of OCPs was 214.6(g/kg, DDTs was the primary compound in soil samples,accounting for 99.3% of the pesticides OCPs.The high ratio of DDT/(DDE+DDD) in some region possibly indicated that DDTs were used as the mostly insecticide and there were still fresh DDTs emitted into the soils.The residual amounts of totle of OCPs in cotton field is the highest,and in the tea plantation soil the residual amounts of totle of OCPs is the lowest.
