Study on the Regional Status of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in China

Abstract

How to deal with climate change is currently being addressed by all levels of decision-making sectors and it needs to be supported by scientific research.The aim of this article is to have a clear understanding of regions that may be influenced by greenhouse gas emissions based on real data.Through the collection of energy and other statistical data,method provided by IPCC report of greenhouse gas emissions,the study collects and calculates data of greenhouse gas emissions on 30 provinces in 2009,analyzing total discharge amount,discharge amount per capita and discharge intensity from the perspective of industries and regions.The study found there's a significant difference among three regions on carbon dioxide emissions: total discharge amount is very large,discharge amount per capita is high and discharge intensity is low in eastern regions;on the other hand,the characteristics of the Midwest with it are the opposite.
