Abstract

Han Yu's prose display a unique article style and aesthetic conceptions. They mainly consist of four specific aspects: first, Han Yu praised highly Confucianism, he requested The function of literature is to convey and develop the Confucianism; second, he expressed his indignation and advocated Where there is injustice, there will be protest, so his writings are full of critical consciousness; third, he had the greatest esteem for momentum, he pursued forceful writing and suitable statement, so his writings are full of power and grandeur or a kind of manly beauty; fourth, he sought for novelty and recommended bringing forth new ideas and opening up, so his prose display a style of his own in terms of types, forms, speech.
