Abstract
Aim The exact traveling wave solutions to nonlinear evolution equation and Burgers-Fisher equation were investigated.Methods The first integral method,which is based on the theory of commutative algebra was used.Results The solitary wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equation and the peaked wave solution of Burgers-Fisher equation has been obtained.Conclusion The first-integral method is easier and quicker than other traditional techniques to obtain the new exact traveling wave solution of Burgers-Fisher equation.
