Abstract
OFDM technology is one kind of high speed multi-carrier transmission technology under wireless environment. OFDM technology has strong resistance to frequency selectivity decline or narrow interference, and with efficient utilization of the radio spectrum. It is suitable for transmitting the high speed data in multipath propagation wireless channels. In this paper, the basic principle for OFDM is analyzed and its key technology and characteristic discussed. OFDM technology will become the core technology for wireless communication in the future,OFDM will be widely used in cognition radio,in the 4G mobile communication and the wireless broadband access.
