Abstract
Since the decision of developing and popularizing information technology education was made by the ministry of education in November,2000,information-based education and information technology education in primary and high schools have well developed and great changes have taken place in external environment and educational conditions in the past seven years.It is greatly significant to analyze and study the problems in past work of information technological education,to clarify the functions and objectives of information technology education,to find the proper methods to promote information-based education and information technology education in new situations,which is bound to have positive effects on enhancing information technology education.
