China’s Conception of Anti-hegemonism in the Context of the United Nations Since the 1990s

Objecting to hegemonism and maintaining the peace in the world is a long- term historical task for all nations. It is also a consistent standpoint and guiding principle of foreign policies held by China since its foundation. With changes in the international situation and China’s getting powerful since the 1990s, China’s two generations of leaders have had a rich understanding of anti-hegemonism and developed a set of mature strategies and approaches against hegemonism on the stage of the United Nations, fully displaying a good image of China asa great responsible developing nation.
