Economic Region Expansion of the Yangtze River Delta

Economic region could promote the integration of personnel,substance,capital and information flow,regional expansion becomes an inner requirement to expand activity space of regional economy.According to the literatures which involved the study of geographical area of the Yangtze River Delta,compared with the historical evolution of its defined economic region,the main conclusions are:1) The related studies on geographical area of the Yangtze River Delta covered 14 cities,15 cities,16 cities,two provinces and one city,three provinces and one city,which is the result of government or market behavior.2) Expansion of the economic region of the Yangtze River Delta involves issues of boundary definition,expansion direction and expansion model,which deserves comprehensive discussion.3) Expansion of the economic region of the Yangtze River Delta essentially is a scientific definition of region border,the related study which based on county-level administrative division and micro-contact is an effective means to solve the problem of regional expansion.
