Abstract
The measurement of forest carbon sink can largely promote the rapid development of the carbon market, and can also gain a better understanding of the forest carbon sinks to climate change and economic development infl uence. Using the volume measurement combination of forest carbon sequestration research background, A quantitative research has been carried out regarding the forest carbon sinks from 2009 to 2013 according to China's forest ecosystem characteristics and the latest forest resources inventory data. The results showed that China's natural forest and plantation carbon were on the rise from 2009 to 2013. The plantation carbon reserves grow faster than natural forests; forest carbon sink value wholly decreases due to the price of forest carbon sinks, annually averaged by 0.13%. The lowering value of natural forest carbon sinks, the annually averaged by 0.58%, mainly attributes to the decrease. But the artifi cial forest carbon sink value increases by 2.81% annually; this was the same as measuring the conclusion of converting forest carbon sink. Finally, it points out that China's current carbon market situation is not optimistic, and carbon sequestration in addition to the form of carbon trading market, we should also build a variety of carbon sink trade channels and should raise the public awareness of forest carbon sinks value and continue to strengthen the construction of forestry. It was of great signifi cance to fi nd a kind of forest carbon sinks measurement method of economy, simple operation and high precision.
