Amorous poems have been a controversial poetic style despite their achievements in composition scale and literary art, and influence on poets of the later generations. Amorous poems reach their prosperous stage in the North and Tang Dynasties. A study of the themes, contents and aesthetic trend helps defining amorous poems.
