Abstract

The variation characteristics and influencing factors of NOx and O3 concentration in Fukang area of Xinjiang were analyzed based on observations from 1 October to 31 November in 2009 and 2010.The results show that the daily average maximum concentration of NO,NO2,NOx,O3 and Ox were 27.2 ppb,33.0 ppb,60.2 ppb,25.4 ppb and 36.0 ppb, respectively. The concentration of NOx during the heating period was significantly higher than that in non heating period, the average concentration of NO,NO2 and NOx during the heating period of 2009 increased by 167%,49% and 68% compared with those in non heating period, and in 2010 increased by 144%,69% and 109%,respectively.Monthly average concentration of NOx presented ascent trend while ozone concentration decreased month by month in autumn.Daily average concentration of NOx exceeded 4% compared with the National Ambient Air Quality Standard. The diurnal variation of NOx,O3 and Ox concentration both in heating and non heating period presented single peak variation, the peak value of NOx occurred in the morning, but for ozone and Ox,the maximum occurred in the afternoon when temperature reached maximum value. The daily range of ozone and Ox concentration was obviously bigger during non heating period than those in heating period, and temperature and relative humidity play a key role in local ozone concentration in Fukang.Meteorological factors had a significant influence on regional air quality status.when under the sustained cold high control, weak wind near surface, sustained descent motion, and sustained pollutants transportion from circumjacent area,a pollution process would form easily.
