Thinking and Analysis of Smart City Construction in China Based on Urban Planning Angle

This paper illustrates the connotations of Smart City and Urban Planning, analyzes the interrelations between them from the guidance of urban planning theories to Smart City and conversely the influence of Smart City construction to Urban Planning, proves that a mature urban planning system does bring some inspiration for the emerging Smart City, finally elaborates the suggestions and references learned from urban planning angle in all aspects of the whole Smart City construction process including planning targets, planning concepts, decision-making, organizational mechanisms, spacial form and city management.
